McKean J. Evans represents small businesses, injured people, insurance policyholders, and employees in lawsuits protecting their legal rights.

McKean represents diverse clients, including small businesses and their owners, individuals injured in accidents, owners of insurance policies, and employees. McKean has five years’ experience litigating complex disputes in varied areas of the law, from insurance to employee benefits to real estate appraisal fraud. McKean recently joined Pivotal Law Group after relocating to Seattle with his fiancé, a native of the Pacific Northwest. McKean is excited about moving to Seattle and looks forward to putting his skills to work representing Pivotal Law Group’s clients.

McKean is admitted to practice law in the State of Pennsylvania; his admission to practice law in Washington is pending.

McKean represents businesses and their owners in lawsuits over business disputes.

McKean fights for business and individuals in Seattle and throughout Washington who find themselves confronted with a business or contractual dispute. Parties to a business deal reasonably expect that the other party adheres to the terms of the agreement. Unfortunately, disputes over contractual performance often wind up in court. When that happens, Pivotal Law Group’s commercial litigation attorneys, including McKean, work hard to resolve the dispute and obtain the best possible result, whether through trial or through a negotiated settlement.

McKean represents individuals injured through others’ negligence or wrongdoing.

The law requires individuals to take basic prudent care to avoid harming others, and holds accountable people who harm others by failing to live up to that standard. McKean and Pivotal Law Group’s personal injury attorneys represent people who suffer injury as the result of others’ negligence, whether through motor vehicle or bicycle accidents, faulty prescription drugs or medical devices, defective products, or other accidents.

McKean represents insurance policyholders against insurance companies that fail to honor their obligations under their policies.

Insurance policyholders reasonably expect that their insurance company will treat them fairly. Insurance companies violate the law when they put their own interests over those of their policyholders; for instance, by unreasonably refusing to pay benefits that are due under an insurance policy. McKean is experienced with many different types of insurance, such as life insurance, long term care insurance, disability insurance, auto insurance, and homeowner’s insurance. McKean has repeatedly obtained successful results for policyholders whose insurers have failed to live up to their policy obligations. If you suspect your insurer has treated you unfairly, contact Pivotal Law Group today for a free consultation.

McKean Represents Employees in Cases of Workplace Discrimination and Harassment

McKean has represented employees in lawsuits enforcing their right to be free from discrimination and harassment in the workplace. Federal and Washington law value diversity and forbid workplace discrimination, including underpayment, harassment, or retaliation for complaining about discrimination. Workers who suffer such misconduct can vindicate their right to fair and equal treatment in court. Contact Pivotal Law Group for a free consultation if you have questions or concerns about workplace discrimination.
